On September 4, the "Smart Mobility Jianye · Digital Gateway" smart transportation special event was held at the Jinyuzui Fund Tower. Co-hosted by the School of Transportation and the National Technology Transfer Center of Southeast University, and guided by the Management Committee of Nanjing Jianye High-tech Zone and the Southeast University–Jianye High-tech Zone "Dual High" Synergy Task Force, the event aimed to deepen the university-locality "Dual High" synergy and promote the commercialization and on-the-ground implementation of university research achievements in industry. It served as an in-depth exchange and matchmaking platform connecting universities, government, and enterprises across the industrial chain.Officials from Southeast University, the Nanjing Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and the Management Committee of Jianye High-tech Zone attended the event and delivered remarks. The School, alongside representatives from multiple leading enterprises in the zone and peer universities, focused on cutting-edge technologies in the smart transportation sector, discussed resource sharing across industry, academia, and research, and contributed to the high-quality development of the regional transportation science and technology innovation industry.

At the event, the Party Committee of the School of Transportation at Southeast University and the Party Working Committee of Jianye High-tech Zone formally signed a Party-building cooperation agreement. This signing represents a pivotal step in strengthening university-locality collaboration and marks the official opening of a new development pathway under the "Party-building leadership + Dual High synergy" framework.Under the agreed cooperation, the two sides will leverage Party-building collaboration as a bond to create distinctive university-locality Party-building projects, promote the deep integration of the School's research strengths with regional industrial resources, accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, jointly cultivate and expand new quality productive forces, and build the region into a highland of scientific and technological innovation.

At this event, Southeast University officially unveiled a series of research achievements in smart transportation. Four experts from our School—Ma Chunye, Li Tiezhu, Wang Hao, and Zhao De—together with Zhao Jiangang, project leader of the "Integrated Intelligent Early Warning System for Comprehensive Transportation Safety," delivered a series of thematic roadshow presentations. The roadshows centered on the core theme of deep industry-university-research integration and technology commercialization, covering cutting-edge areas including vehicle-infrastructure cooperative autonomous driving, intelligent connected transportation systems, transportation carbon emission quantification, AI-driven traffic big data modeling, intelligent traffic perception and control, and integrated intelligent safety for comprehensive transportation. The presentations addressed technical bottlenecks, industry pain points, and real-world implementation scenarios, sharing research achievements and practical application experience, and fully demonstrating the School's research capabilities and technical expertise. The event also featured a dedicated industry-university-research matchmaking session, where our School's research teams engaged in face-to-face discussions with participating enterprise representatives. They conducted in-depth exchanges on technology implementation, project collaboration, and achievement commercialization, exploring collaboration potential and facilitating precise alignment between research outputs and industrial needs.

This event marks an important practice for the School in advancing university-locality collaboration under the guidance of Party building. By leveraging the School's research and innovation capabilities and Jianye High-tech Zone's industrial platform strengths, it has facilitated the transition of smart transportation research achievements from laboratories to industrial applications.Moving forward, the School will continue to deepen its Party-building partnership and strategic cooperation with Jianye High-tech Zone, regularly participate in the "Dual High" synergy series of activities, and strengthen precise industry-university-research matchmaking. It will also actively expand collaborative ties with additional regional industrial platforms, attract high-level innovative talent and quality sci-tech innovation projects, continuously improve the full-chain technology commercialization ecosystem, and empower regional industrial upgrading and high-quality development through technological innovation.
